Macaulay Culkin Breaks His Silence After 'Home Alone' Reboot Trailer Drops

When it comes to the classics, it's very easy to get defensive — trust me, I know right hand. You should have seen me when I heard they were remaking Saved By The Bell... I nearly flipped a table.

Needless to say, I'm not super cozied up on the idea of a Home Alone remake, but it seems like maybe Macaulay Culkin is?

In case you totally forgot, the "Home Alone" franchise is getting a reboot.

To be honest with you all, I TOTALLY forgot. It must have been announced within the past 20 months, which would make sense as I've disassociated since March 2020.

The film, titled "Home Sweet Home Alone" is a 2021 take on the classic.

The first trailer came out on Tuesday to mixed reviews. Fans will be able to get the full experience when the film starts streaming on Disney+ November 12.

Of course, everyone's first thought was "IS MACAULAY COMING BACK?!"

Well, he's officially shutting down any speculation while also addressing the film for the first time publicly.

"Hey y'all. Just a heads up since I've been getting this question a lot today: I am NOT in the new Home Alone reboot," he tweeted.

"I wish all involved the best of luck though," the 41-year-old added.

We're glad that Macaulay is seemingly thriving these days with a baby and a spot in all of our hearts.

And hey, maybe when this reboot film goes to New York in the sequel, Macaulay can make a cameo in the lobby of the Plaza Hotel?
