Awesome 'Ghostbusters' Display Wins For Best Halloween Decor Of The Year (So Far)

It's the most wonderful time of the year: spooky season.

Some folks like the holiday season better, and that's fine. But for my money, driving around the neighborhood looking for awesome Halloween displays is way better.

The best Halloween display in the world right now appears to be at a house in California. Let's take a look.

It's *Ghostbusters*-themed.

This is a great place to start. Witches and scarecrows and all that tend to feel passé after awhile.

Ghostbusters is a well-known property, full of iconic imagery. It even has its own song. Most importantly, it's fun and a bit spooky, which is a perfect fit for Halloween.

It's...a lot.

While many neighborhoods have a house that stands above the others in terms of its Halloween display, this is unlike anything I've ever seen.

The house puts on a choreographed seven-minute light show, all set to the classic Ghostbusters theme.

It has all the imagery you know and love.

The display takes a few creative liberties, but features everything that makes Ghostbusters what it is: ECTO-1, Slimer, the original cast and, of course, the classic theme performed by Ray Parker Jr.

It was put together by a projection company.

Seasoned Projections, based in Southern California, is no stranger to these kinds of light shows. The whole thing was put together in Adobe After Effects. From there, the projection was set up on the house to coincide.

It's downright hypnotic.

What really sets this apart from other light-based displays is the choreography. This isn't just random colorful laser beams moving in patterns, it's a full-blown, seven-minute-long extravaganza. Not a second of it is wasted. It's impossible to look away.

I think this house wins Halloween.

I mean, there's no doubt that plenty of people put on impressive Halloween displays. But I can't fathom anything being better than this. I'd rather stare at this thing for an hour and a half than watch any spooky movie.

Here's the glorious video.

Alright, we've teased you with still images for long enough. Here's the entire, unedited video. Watch it and then watch it again and again. I know I did.

After you've pulled yourself away, tell us about the best Halloween displays you've ever seen (or put together yourself!).
