It's Rumored The Queen Enjoys 4 Cheeky Cocktails Every Single Day

If you had asked me five minutes ago if I had anything in common with HRH Queen Elizabeth II, I would have said "Um, no" — obviously. However, I just became aware that the Queen enjoys a cheeky cocktail, or four, every single dang day and now, not only do we have something in common, but I think HRH goes harder than I do!

It's no secret the Queen likes to have fun.

Don't believe me? Remember when she opted to cut a cake with a sword instead of a knife and got real sassy about it? BECAUSE I DO!

Now, it's been rumored that in addition to cutting cake with swords, the Queen likes to have fun in other ways.

It's no secret the royal family knows how to drink. As many fans of the family know, Queen Elizabeth's mom, the Queen Mother, was such a heavy drinker there were jokes made about her that she had a "hollow leg."

Rumor has it Elizabeth has carried on her mom's tradition.

According to royal author Bryan Kozlowski, author of the best-seller Long Live the Queen! 13 Rules for Living from Britain's Longest Reigning Monarch the Queen reportedly "outmatches her mother's self-avowed 'drinking powers' by habitually knocking back four strong cocktails a day—starting just before luncheon" as reported by Women's Health.

Of course, these are just rumors but hey, it's fun to think about!

In his book, Bryan notes that former royal chef Darren McGrady disputes these claims, saying that the Queen would be "pickled" if she drank as much as gossip suggested.

Still, the author suggests that HRH's relationship with alcohol—which she does enjoy regularly, by all accounts—might actually be the secret to her long life.

"Throughout her reign, alcohol has always served in the function of fast-acting stress reliever—a dose of liquid decompression on hectic days," he wrote.

Hey, I can't say I disagree! I'm sure being the head of a monarchy is a lot of stress!
