TikTok Hack Has People Using Laundry Baskets To Make Spooky Decor

Halloween DIYs are just on another level.

Sure, Christmas DIYs are fun. But Halloween DIYs are fun and spooky, and that's my wheelhouse. From DIY creepy candle stands to candy slides, Halloween inspires the best crafts in my not-so-humble opinion.

One TikTok user took that to another level with a clever DIY using spray paint and laundry baskets. Let's check it out!

Let's get DIYing.

You'll need two plastic laundry baskets for this DIY. The cheaper, the better. I'm out here to save you money, after all.

Anyway, grab some spray paint that will stick to plastic, and let's get spraying!

Get you some GOOD glue.

We are not talking hot glue here, people. We are talking the GOAT of craft glues: E6000. It sticks to everything and holds like a damn, even to painted plastic.

(Oh, and you need some spooky handcuffs, obviously.)

Glue and spray.

Glue down the handcuffs to the top basket. Be generous with your glue, since the handcuffs are going to be bearing some weight. Then spray the glue black to hide it! It's all about the details, y'all.

Time for some fun.

Grab some plastic skeleton parts and some red paint, and have fun with it. Splatter the paint across them so that they look bloody as hell. (GET IT. HELL? GET IT? I'm funny, dammit.)

Pile the bones in the basket without handcuffs.

This is going to be your bottom basket, and it's going to be fully of spooky body parts. Grab a few novelty chains while you're at it — I recommend getting two.

Almost done!

Once the chains are wrapped around the edges, hang your baskets up! Lookin' good so far, gang. Then, all you need is the last ingredient to this spooky craft: some creepy cloth!

This is so cool.

Is it me, or does this look like something you'd find on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disney? It's serving me pirates, it's serving me horror movie, it's serving me...WAIT.

It's serving me "Hocus Pocus."

It seriously looks like the aftermath of Jay and Ice's imprisonment by the Sanderson Sisters in Hocus Pocus. I'm calling it Jay and Ice: the later years. (RIP, boys.)

You can watch the TikTok here.

Believe it or not, this whole DIY cost $10. Not bad for something that looks that goo!

What do you think? Would you try this DIY for your yard? I totally would!
