Man Hits On Server By Tipping Her With Ripped $100 Bills

Being a server is really hard work. Despite being perpetually underpaid and underappreciated, being a waiter is no easy gig. Working in more "untraditional" settings can be even more stressful, like at a golf course perhaps, which is where one woman ran into a super weird customer who tipped her with ripped bills in an effort to score a date.

Tipping in the service industry is an *incredibly* controversial subject.

In my opinion, it shouldn't be controversial at all. Working in the service industry is really hard, and until servers get properly compensated for their hourly wage, it's important to leave a tip as part of your dining or bartending experience.

However, have you ever heard of using cash tips as means to get a date?

Sure, back in the day when I was a server, some consumers would leave big tips and their phone numbers to try to hit on me (oh, they good ol' days( but no one ever used the actual bill as part of the ruse!

Now, one server working on a golf course has gone viral after receiving ripped $100 bills from a customer who tried to ask her out.

Weird, right?

Starting the video, TikTok user @cassholland asks viewers if anything like this had ever happened to them before.

Cassie explained that while working on a gold course, she encountered a customer who was a generous tipper.

At the end of the day, he asked her out for dinner that night.

Cassie declined before being offered 3 ripped $100 bills. He promised to give her the other halves if she met him "in front of this casino" later in the night.

"So clearly he already had this whole idea planned out," Cassie added.

The money trick didn't work on her as she declined the offer again.

However, upon returning to her golf card, she found the three ripped bills sitting in her cup holder.

"So now I have this, just completely useless $300," she laughed.

"I can understand once you have the three halves you probably want the other ones... It's funny because he probably thinks he’s a genius but he really just lost $300. For nothing," Cassie concluded.
