Frustrated Resident Plants A Banana Tree In A Pothole After City Refuses To Fix It

What are my tax dollars for, if not to fill in pot holes?

Alright, alright. I know they're for other things. But it is frustrating to have my car bounce in potholes and wonder if that's going to be the hole that messes my car up.

One Florida man with that exact problem decided to do something about it, and it was hilarious.

Finally, a Florida man headline with a wholesome ending.

Y'all know the notoriousness of Florida man headlines. If they're not wrestling alligators to save their dogs, they're becoming a meme on Twitter. I am convinced Florida exists in another dimension.

This Florida man is kind of a hero, tbh.

Byran owns Progress and Pride Fitness group in Fort Meyers, Florida. When a sewer mine began to collapse in front of his business, his enemy appeared: the pothole.

The city claimed the road was on private property and not their responsibility.

So Bryan did what he had to do.

"If we have to maintain it and make sure nobody gets hurt, we are going to put something obvious there to make sure nobody gets in the hole," he told his local news outlet.

Other business owners around him approve of the solution.

Despite the approval and the media attention, however, Bryan still can't win.

"But still can’t get the city to come look at the collapsing sewer line that created it," he said.

Your move, Fort Meyers.
