Starbucks Barista Divides Viewers By Sharing 'Grossest' They've Ever Made

One Starbucks barista was having a tough day at work.

He was forced to make the "grossest" drink he's ever made, which physically pained him to make.

But what's gross to some is delicious to others! Some TikTok users took to the app to defend the controversial concoction.

Come see what all the fuss is about!

Starbucks has come under fire several times in recent months.

There was a viral TikTok video that showed workers are extremely stressed from inadequate training and understaffing.

This was displayed by TikToker @0utspoken, who goes by Sarah on the platform. She broke down tearfully in the video.

In the now-deleted video shared on June 11, she tearfully explained that she, a brand-new employee, was put on the busiest shift.

“I’m a [expletive] failure; I hate this job,” Sarah said, adding that she's on the verge of quitting three weeks into her new job.

In the end, she didn't quit. Instead, she said she was fired after “standing up” to a co-worker who was allegedly “harassing and bullying” her.

Before this, she also dealt with a co-worker who "tattled" on her about her viral video, forcing her to take it down.

Another Starbucks employee had to deal with a "Karen" order that involved 22 specialty drinks!

The TikTok user complained that the UberEats order for Katie took three large bags and two regular-sized ones to fit all of those small strawberry-acai lemonades.

"Katie, you made us all quit," she finished.

Now, Starbucks has fallen under controversy again.

Although this time, it's entirely a customer's fault. @Kenmixtape is a TikToker who is known for sharing behind-the-scenes antics at Starbucks.

Recently, in a video that's since gone viral, he shared the “grossest drink anyone has ever ordered."

Everything starts out normal as he begins preparing a mango dragonfruit lemonade.

Viewers watch as he carefully adds in the mango juice, lemonade, and dragonfruit into a cup. Then, he adds the ice.

That right there would be a perfectly delicious and refreshing drink. But then, it's quickly ruined by what happens next.

He's forced to add an espresso shot into the drink!

"This is so disgusting seriously,” the overlay reads while he shakes his head and finishes making the beverage. "Mango dragonfruit with espresso," he wrote, with three sad faces.

People in the comments were equally disturbed.

"Somebody is having a TOUGH morning," one user wrote, indicating that the customer needs that caffeine, no matter how gross it is.

People agreed that the drink was fine until the espresso was added. "that doesn't sound so ba-" this user hilariously wrote. "that's absolutely rancid," added another.

The video inspired other Starbucks employees to share their drink horror stories.

"Someone ordered a mango dragonfruit w/ vanilla bean powder, heavy cream, and double blended at mine. I was like huh," one barista shared.

"I had someone order a kiwi star fruit lemonade with eight mocha pumps, I GAGGED. We don't get paid enough for this shiz," another wrote.

Some people didn't see what the big deal was.

They pointed out that lemonade and cold brew (maxagran) is a common drink in some parts of the world. This left some users divided since they didn't find the concoction strange.

One shared how Portgual has a drink made with lemonade and espresso over ice.

"But citrus and coffee are paired together, so it's not that strange," added another.
