Boy's Emotional Reunion With His Missing Dog Is Undoing My Hard Exterior

Take this owner who was reunited with his missing dog of two years after seeing him on the evening news.

The Milwaukee man, identified as Dwight, woke up to see his dog, Payday, in a dog adoption segment on FOX6.

She had been distraught over losing her best friend.

After calling the TV station, Dwight was put in contact with the Wisconsin Humane Society who set up the reunion.

Dwight's mom, Melissa, was the one who went to go pick up him.

"We are beyond ecstatic for this amazing family to finally be whole again," the Wisconsin Humane Society wrote on Facebook. You can watch the heartwarming reunion for yourself!

The clip, which has over 11 million views, was uploaded by the TikTok account @pawmusthaves. It starts by showing an adorable pug sitting in the front seat of a car parked outside of a school.

This explained the celebratory bows on the dog's collar. “Piper! Who’s coming out? Who's that?" a woman's voice comes from behind the camera as a young boy approaches the vehicle.

The dog gets excited as he wags his tail.

The second the young boy recognizes his lost dog, he stops and bursts into tears.

He takes a moment to drop off his backpack in the backseat while Piper the dog continues to excitedly wag his tail.

This happens a second later when the boy joins the front seat and immediately embraces his lost dog.

What happens next is a tearful reunion that would undo anyone's hard exterior.

"As soon as he noticed his dog I teared up," one user wrote. "Welp. Now I'm crying," added another.

One pointed out the special bond between humans and dogs: "It's just the raw honesty of the unconditional love."

“I’m crying as if I don’t have my dog sitting next to me. Omg if anything happened to her I’d die!” this viewer remarked.

"I'm a 49 year old man. In 49 years the only thing I have every truly loved and trusted was my daughter and my dogs."

"Dude I lost my cat outside for an hour today and had a breakdown. I couldn't even imagine a year," this user wrote.

Tragically, one person was extra emotional over seeing this video a day before they had to put their dog down.
