Let's Face It — Pierce Brosnan And Keely Shaye Brosnan Are An Underrated Hollywood Couple

When it comes to iconic Hollywood couples, a few couples come to mind —Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham, David and Victoria Beckham, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen, Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, and of course, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.

However, there's one couple we've all been forgetting, and it's truly one of the best.

Marriage in Hollywood is a lot like dating in high school — lots of breakups, lots of makeups and lots of drama. Oh yeah, *lots* and LOTS of drama.

However, if you're someone who's lucky enough to marry your high school (Hollywood) sweetheart and make it work like alllll the couples I mentioned in the intro — that's awesome!

I'm not a total cynic, okay?

However, one of the most beloved Hollywood couples are also one of the most under the radar pairs as well.

Former James Bond hunk Pierce Brosnan and his journalist wife Keely Shaye Brosnan recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary, and it made me realize how underrated they are as a Hollywood power couple.

For those unfamiliar with Pierce and Keely's love affair, it's truly one for the books.

The power couple married back in August 2001 in Ireland's stunning countryside. The actor and the filmmaker share sons Dylan, 24, and Paris, 20, who, as fans may recall, were Golden Globes Ambassadors in 2020.

As fans know, Keely is Pierce's second wife. The actor was tragically widowed after the death of his first wife, actress Cassandra Harris, who died of ovarian cancer at the age of 43 in 1991.

Before her passing, the pair welcomed a son, Sean. Pierce also adopted Cassandra's children, Charlotte and Chris, following the death of their father, Dermot Harris in 1986. Tragically, the actor would lose Charlotte to the same disease in 2013.

In a life that has been filled with heartbreak, it makes Pierce's union with Keely even more special.

Pierce has always been candid about Keely, never shying away from expressing his feelings for his wife . In 2014, Pierce told the Independent "I love her vitality, her passion. She has this strength that I wouldn’t be able to live without. When Keely looks at me, I go weak."

It's clear their union is one of the most loving in Hollywood.

To be able to overcome such loss and still find it in your heart to devote your life and love to someone else is so beautiful.

Way to go, Pierce and Keely!
