Parents Hire Bigfoot For Daughter's Sixth Birthday Party, Chaos Ensues

I do not envy those who have ever had to host a child's birthday party, including my own parents. Of course every parent wants to do right by their kid and make their day special, but it can be a finicky task.

When one mom had to make a sudden change of plans regarding her daughter's birthday, she went for the unique option, which didn't end up going quite as planned.

As parents, you always want to make sure your child's birthdays are special and memorable.

Whether it be through getting them the perfect gifts, throwing parties with their friends, or making the day all about them.

Brett, a mom from Oklahoma, usually celebrated her kids' birthdays with large, special cakes. The cake for her daughter's sixth birthday fell through this year, so she thought of a rather creative alternative to mark the special day.

Brett and her husband invited Bigfoot.

That's right, Bigfoot. This Bigfoot is better known as Mrs. Bigfoot and formally named Cinnamon. Dressed in a tutu, a bow, and bearing balloons, she looked rather cheery.

The kids at the party didn't think so, though.

She made her introduction by making some noise outside the home and peeking in through the windows.

The kids immediately lost it. A video of the event starts with them screaming, genuinely scared that a monster was near their home.

The parents are seen laughing, as clearly this isn't how they expected things to go.

Brett spoke to 2 News Oklahoma about what she thought was going to happen.

"We just thought, I mean she came with balloons and a bow and a tutu, so I thought 'oh this will be cute and fun,'" Brett said.

"Well my kids did not have that reaction."

The parents did a great job at defusing the situation.

When Cinnamon walked in the front door, both mom and dad took turns greeting her, hugging her, and showing their kids that she was nothing to be afraid of. In fact, she was a friend!

And in the end, the kids warmed up to her too.

"I would just recommend it for a good time because obviously by the video my kids thought so too. They all ended up hugging her and taking fun pictures with her, really fun, cute pictures at the end.

"But they don't want her to come back though."
