Viral Video Of Trash Around Disney Sparks Debate About Labor Shortage

Over the course of the last two years, things have really changed drastically across the world. With the pandemic uprooting everyone's lives, many people experienced hardships and also the loss of jobs.

In addition to individuals losing jobs, many companies and industries have been having a problem employing people. Many individuals are scared to work due to the Covid-19 virus, while others cannot find childcare.

Due to mandated government shutdowns and lack of revenue coming in, many companies and industries had to let go of workers and employees.

This put a huge strain on individual workers, who had no choice but to go on unemployment to get by.

Businesses suffered and some even shut down.

With the lack of traffic and customers in stores, businesses, and even theme parks and entertainment entities, many closed their doors forever.

However, big businesses and parks have tried to restart their profits again, with the backing of "big business" behind them.

Disney World has tried to jumpstart their tourist season, opening their parks again post-Covid.

However, it seems that Disney is struggling to employ workers again, even after letting so many employees go during the pandemic.

It's reported that during Covid-19's shutdown, the Disney park had to let go of over 32,000 workers—specifically from their theme parks.

Despite trying to rehire staff, it seems that Disney World is struggling to get new workers in.

In a recent video shared on TikTok that has now gone viral, a user shared that the "worker shortage" that every business and person in the United States has been talking about, has now hit Disney World, as well.

In the video, the TikTok user showcases how disgustingly messy the parks are.

The video showcases many different parts of the theme park and how much trash and dirt is all over the place.

One part points out that garbage bins are overflowing with food and empty bottles, some even being stacked on top.

Other parts of the video showcases trash left on the beach.

Not only is the trash overflowing out of bins, but the actual beaches and natural places themselves are all covered in dirt, too.

There is litter and trash all over the sand and even in the weeds, too.

Some attractions are also trashed.

On some lines to get onto rides or walk through attractions, the video showcased how much trash is all over the floor and how people just walk on by, not really caring to pick things up or clean them up at all.

While the video calls this a "labor shortage," people online had different opinions on it.

Some people blamed the Disney Park tourists for being "slobs" and not being able to clean up after themselves.

Others said this is a humanity issue that individuals are just rude and disrespectful—throwing trash everywhere on the floor.

Others, however, blamed Disney World.

Many TikTok users commented, blaming Disney World for their poor wages and lack of employee appreciation. Many said that Disney is a "billion-dollar company" and that they can truly afford to do better by their workers, especially in compensation and pay.
