Great-Grandmother Makes Her Absolutely Wholesome Modeling Debut At Age 99

We all have dreams in life but most of us find that those dreams take time to pursue. After all, we have to make sure that our most immediate needs are taken care of and the work needed to do that can often leave us exhausted.

But while it may be necessary to put our dreams off for a while, it's worth remembering that this isn't the same thing as abandoning them entirely. Unfortunately, we often have a tendency to think that it's too late for us to try something big once we hit a certain age.

But fortunately, there are enough stories of the incredible things people have achieved later in life to convince us that there's so much in the world that we're never too old to start doing.

Back in May, Saie Beauty founder Laney Crowell floated an interesting idea in an Instagram post.

As Good Morning America reported, the company had long presented itself as a brand that can appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds and featured a diverse cats of models to reflect this.

So she figured that it was hard to find a better way to do that than to make her own 99-year-old grandmother Helene Simon the next face of her brand.

But while Crowell's customers loved the idea, Simon herself was a little harder to convince, saying "absolutely not" when she was first offered the job.

As she put it, "I think I laughed it off. Then my grand-daughter persisted and encouraged me to show the world that 99-year-old women should still be represented."

That perspective plus the fact she was already a regular user of her granddaughter's products compelled her to agree and she killed it!

Wearing a simple white blouse and and a joyful smile, Simon showed the world her glow in a series of photos that were a big hit with the brand's social media following.

She was particularly thrilled to see messages like, "I love this post with all my heart. May she live to 120!" pour in from her new fans.

And even before her photos made it out into the world, she had a good enough experience that it won't take anywhere near as much convincing to get her to model again.

As she put it, "I loved being on set. The photographer was incredible and so fun. It definitely was a treat to get my hair and makeup done."
