Apparently The New 'Jeopardy!' Host Isn't Mayim Bialik, It's Mike Richards

Well, the time has come. The day is here. The moment has been realized. We finally have news of who the new, permanent Jeopardy! host will be, and it may come as a surprise to many fans who have been enjoying the revolving door of celebrity guest hosts.

Now, it has been revealed that Mike Richards will be taking over the podium officially after the passing of beloved host, Alex Trebek.

As per Variety, executive producer Mike Richards is expected to take over as permanent host of the popular game show.

Mike is reportedly in advanced negotiations with Sony Pictures Television to become the host and begin a new era following Alex Trebek's 36-year hosting stint.

Viewers may recall that Mike took a shot at hosting the series back in February.

Mike, in addition to celebs like Mayim Bialik, LeVar Burton, and Anderson Cooper, all had their chance to shine as the hosts of the show.

However, it seems the executive producer, who is no stranger to hosting, has won the coveted spot.

Having produced over 4,000 hours of game show television, it's safe to say Mike has all the makings of a great host

I'm of course bummed the gig didn't go to Mayim or LeVar, but I'm glad the search is finally over.
