Shortly thereafter, they began dating and at one point were even engaged to be married.
Ben's messy divorce from Jennifer Garner, as well as his subsequent stint in rehab for alcohol addiction, have been well documented. Likewise, Jen herself recently went through a very public split from former *MLB All-Star, Alex Rodriguez.
We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects.

Yesterday was Jen's 52nd birthday. To celebrate, she posted a collage of photos of her and Ben relaxing out on the water.
The newly reunited couple shared an intimate kiss, thus confirming to the world that they are now Instagram-official!
For the most part, people on the internet are absolutely obsessed with the couple just as they were back in the 2000s.
Then again, since they already did this journey once, maybe it feels super natural falling back into old habits.
