His charisma, talent, and star power have made him a fan favorite on shows like Law & Order: SVU, Oz and Happy!.
However, it warms my wee heart to know he is just as much of a rockstar off-camera, too.
The pair share two children together— 20-year-old daughter Sophia, and 17-year-old son Dante.
Chris met his wife Sherman back in 1989, on the set of an "immensely forgettable" HBO series.
Back then, Chris was breaking into the business, and Sherman was working as a production designer.
He recalled thinking he had to meet this woman. Recalling the moment with YourTango, the actor recalled thinking she was "cool, funny, sexy."
"On our first date, we went to three parties, given by three sets of my friends," Sherman recalled to the outlet.
"Next we went to a party given by Beverly Hills snootballs. Chris kept his manners in check and held his own."
Soon after that fateful date, the pair tied the knot with big dreams of a family.
"In 1995, I didn't feel I could establish a career as an actor and commit to kids at the same time," Chris told the publication.
The pair would welcome their first child, Sophia, in 2001.
