Mom Praises Company For Offering A 'Toddler Friendly' Job Interview

Being a working parent can be tough, especially when childcare isn't always available. One mom, who had been laid off during the pandemic, was invited to interview for a job position. The only problem for her was the fact that she didn't have anyone to take care of her infant son.

Luckily, as Buzzfeed reports, the interviewers didn't see this as a problem.

Maggie brought her son with her to a job interview.

Maggie Mundwiller, who goes as @314 handcrafted on TikTok, shares her story of how she ended up taking her son with her to a second interview for a new job.

After being laid off from her previous job, this was a big step.

But... no child care was a problem.

After explaining that she had no one to look after her 1-year-old son, Mylo, the company invited Maggie to bring her son with her to the interview. I've never heard of anyone doing something like that before.

So the pair got ready.

In her TikTok video, Maggie dresses Mylo up in an adorable suit and makes sure his hair is nice and neat. Just because Mylo isn't competing for the job doesn't mean he can't look nice for the interview.

And the pair were off!

It's safe to say that Mylo has probably won the award for most adorable interview partner.

He was well behaved during the interview.

Maggie tells Buzzfeed that it was a bit distracting having her son there, but it was nice as well. The interviewers were, luckily, really patient and understanding. And unsurprisingly, the interview process went really well.

One highlight was that Mylo got to eat the pickle from the interviewer's sandwich. A pretty good reward, if you ask me.

Mylo even had his own resume!

He may not have any experience, and his only references are his mom and dad, but he seems to have a lot of marketable skills. Being able to spot a dog a mile away is a true talent.

People were absolutely loving it.

The TikTok has been viewed over 8 million times, and boasts an impressive 1.5 million likes. People from all over commented on how adorable the whole thing was.

One comment reads, "I would hire you simply on the fact that you dressed him up and he had his own adorable resume!"

But it's also a chance for a conversation.

"It makes me sooo happy to know there are companies like this!" said a commenter.

"Glad it's a toddler friendly business! People don't talk about the need for childcare enough!" another comment read.

Many people echoed the sentiment that childcare for working parents needs to be prioritized a bit more.

This company is definitely going in the right direction.

It really is nice to see a workplace that has such a relaxed, child friendly atmosphere. Hopefully more employers will learn to follow suit in the future.

If you check out Maggies TikTok page you'll find more videos about the job and her experience with the interview.
