After Giving Birth, New Mom's Boyfriend Ditches Her For Her Mother

The birth of a child is supposed to be one of the happiest days in any new parent's life. But for 24-year-old Jess Aldridge, the birth of her second child quickly turned into her worst nightmare.

Not long after bringing a beautiful baby boy into the world, Jess's boyfriend/father of her children broke up with her via text. To make matters even worse — he dumped her for her own mother.

Love is a complicated thing.

It's weird, complex, and can leave you thinking up is down.

But sometimes we hear about situations that are so insane, they're hard to believe they are even real.

Enter the following story.

When 24-year-old Jess Aldridge learned that she'd be having a second child, she decided to move back home.

At almost nine months pregnant and in the midst of a global pandemic, it certainly isn't hard to understand why.

Jess decided to bubble up with her mother, and her long-term boyfriend/the father of her children also moved in.

Jess's mother, Georgina, was originally the one who suggested moving in together.

She herself is a mother of five, who had six grandchildren at the time.

Not long after moving home, Jess began noticing her mother and boyfriend behaving strangely.

At first, Jess didn't think much of it and chalked it up to her mother and boyfriend being overly friendly toward one another.

But in no time at all, the friendliness gave way to flirting.

Feeling awkward and angry about the whole situation, Jess went to confront her mother.

Georgina acted completely taken aback and swore up and down that there was nothing going on between her and Ryan.

On January 28th, Jess gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Reuben.

Her boyfriend Ryan was there and her mother Georgina was in the room with Jess, functioning as her birthing partner.

There were no complications to speak of during the birth and Jess was feeling happier than she could ever remember.

But the very next day, Jess received a text message that would change her life forever. And just like that, her entire world started crashing down around her.

The text message was from Ryan, telling her that he was effectively ending their 3-year-long relationship.

Jess didn't know how to respond.

When she pressed Ryan for a reason, all that he would say was that he was fed up with her accusations and her lack of trust.

As it turns out, her accusations weren't unwarranted at all.

Jess's suspicions were right all along — Ryan and her mother were in fact having an affair, for pretty much the entire time they'd all been living together.

Jess later came to discover that her mother had left her father weeks before the birth.

Georgina and Ryan had an entire plan to run away and be with one another. According to Jess, they'd been planning it for roughly six months.

That means for pretty much her entire pregnancy, Ryan was lying to her face and going behind her back — with her own mother!

Georgina finally confessed that she had tried to rebuke Ryan's advances, but simply couldn't deny how she truly felt.

All-in-all, Ryan saw his newborn son for less than 10 minutes before running out on him and the boy's mother.

And if you think it can't get worse, it actually does. So buckle your seat belt.

The last time that Jess says she saw Ryan was the day he came to the house to pack up his clothes and move out.

To add insult to injury, her mother tagged along with him but was too afraid to get out of the car.

Jess was so hurt by what she considered to be an ultimate betrayal that she vowed to never speak to her mother or Ryan again.

Georgina tried to appeal to her daughter's sense of sympathy, arguing she couldn't help who she fell in love with.

Georgina and Ryan moved into Jess's aunt's house 30 miles up the road. They are now living together and have even made their relationship Facebook official.

I'm certainly a romantic at heart and would never condemn anyone for who they love, but don't you think this crosses a line?

Even if they had very strong feelings for one another, I feel just out of respect they should have never acted on it.

Is it just me?

Now, we want to hear from you.
