After a while, the monotony of Zoom meetings will take its toll on every one of us who's been unlucky enough to slog through them every single day. You sort of run out of things to wear, and probably repeat outfits a bunch of times, hoping no one will notice.
Unless you're this woman, who wore the same shirt for 264 consecutive Zoom meetings over the past year, hoping somebody, anybody would notice. No one did.
Jackie, who worked at a nonprofit based in Washington, D.C., wore the exact same Hawaiian shirt for 264 Zoom meetings, Inside Edition reports.
That's works out to be nearly all, if not all the meetings she attended for an entire year.
Jackie documented many of her meeting encounters on her TikTok, @jemjackiejem, showing that not a single person said anything about the fact that she was wearing the exact same shirt each time. Though, that doesn't mean they didn't notice.
They didn't notice, like, at all. You would think after a few meetings, people would start to catch on. But surprisingly enough, not a single one of Jackie's coworkers paid any mind to her bold wardrobe choice.
It's not like she was wearing a gray sweater, or a white t-shirt. It was a Hawaiian shirt with a rather bold print on it. After a meeting or two, it probably wouldn't be that much of a focus. But after hundreds? Come one, people!
“I had some real ups and downs. Like the first month I was like, this is really funny. Then it’d be like, oh I’m still wearing this. And then it’d be funny again,” Jackie said to Inside Edition.
It would've been a really funny joke. You know, if anyone had noticed what kind of shirt she was wearing.
She wore the shirt on the first day back, of course, saying, “I was like, so by the way, I don’t know if you guys have noticed, but I’ve been wearing this shirt to every video meeting that we’ve had since last April. And they had no idea. They were like, ‘That shirt?’’ I was like, ‘Yes, this shirt that I’m wearing right now, yes.’”
Jackie has since left the company, and started a job at a new place. After 264 days of wearing the same shirt to Zoom meetings, she hasn't donned it at her new job just yet. But we kind of hope she does.
