Have you ever done a DIY job on your house? Did it go well? Yes? That's awesome. Unfortunately, some people aren't always that fortunate.

I'm about to share with you possibly the worst home DIY you've ever seen. Don't say I didn't warn you, ha, ha! I hope you're ready for this. So, let's go and get to the bottom of it.

Let me ask you a question: Have you ever repainted cabinets before?

If you have, then you must know how to do it properly, no? Well, some people don't really take the time to figure it out. This lady definitely didn't.

She posted a video on TikTok where she shares what she calls the "worst DIY."

Then, she goes on to say that she had these ugly brown cabinets in her kitchen. So naturally, she wanted to paint them over. Are you with me so far?

However, she made one fatal mistake.

Are you ready for it? She didn't remove any hardware before painting the cabinets. What? Come on! That's not right. I might not be a seasoned painter, but even I know that, ha, ha!

How in the heck did she think it was going to come out?

Obviously, not that great, right? Well, case in point here. This is exactly how it turned out. It looks messy and ugly. OMG, what a facepalm moment.

Take a look at this cabinet handle.

I mean, c'mon? Did she not even put any effort into this or what? I bet she must've realized her mistake and gave up. Otherwise, how can you explain how bad this looks?

People online had a field day seeing this.

Most of them pointed out the obvious. She should have taken the hardware off! I do feel bad for her, though, you know. She explained that she was in a bad place at the time.

Heck, you live you learn. Am I right?

She also admitted that she didn't even sand the cabinets down. Well, that's one crucial step you definitely don't want to omit. I know a thing or two having a few painter friends.

The good news is that she finally buckled down and removed the hardware.

Then she painted the cabinets properly. Attagirl! You see, it wasn't really that hard. Oh wait, she also used the excuse that she didn't have all the tools at the time.

So, is this the worst home DIY you've ever seen?

Or do you have your own story that can topple this one down? If you do, I would love to hear about it, ha, ha! I think that's pretty obvious. Don't be shy, share with all of us. We swear we won't laugh too hard.
