I know that for some people, thrifting is an art form. And as with any art, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Having said that, sometimes the things you encounter in a thrift store can be legit terrifying.
These folks knew to document their finds so we can all discover them and be mystified together. Let's take a look.
I don't know if I ever told you, but I can't stand clowns. They creep me out to no end. So the fact that somebody took this filthy "Bozo the Clown" doll home terrifies me.
I don't know if you see what I see. Do these cat statues resemble the face of an old lady? Perhaps it's just me, but I can't seem to get that out of my mind. It's too weird.
Serious question: Would you take this fella home? Um, I don't think so. I have been fascinated by mummies but not enough to take one home. Do you think there's an actual person inside? Yikes, I don't want to know.
Do you know what you're looking at here? This ladies and gentlemen is a 1940 Sedac electroshock therapy machine by Reitek. It was used for the treatment of depression, mania, and schizophrenia. Yikes, this is definitely cursed.
Why are there so many creepy dolls in thrift stores? Some of these will haunt me for a long time. I can pretty much say that about these two. Is it just me, or are they creepy AF?
I don't know if I told you, but I used to collect all sorts of mugs. I think I have about two bins worth of them. But, I can definitely assure you that this mug wouldn't be among them.
One can never have too many tea sets. Am I right? You've got the teapot, the sugar bowl, and the milk jug in a nice, coordinated collection. But, would you consider taking home this creepy monkey tea set? Oh, heck no!
Boy did games come a long way. With an attractive name like "Don't Upset Me, " I bet they got a ton of sales. It's no wonder I've never heard of this before — and chances are neither you nor anybody else have heard of it either.
So, I told you earlier how much I despise clowns in any shape or form, and I have to admit clown dolls are the worst. These two look like they're already regretting the decision to get married, hee-hee.
Do you need one head, two heads, or more? No need to worry as you can find a whole cabinet of them here. I don't know why people in Belgium are so fascinated with these, but it's pretty weird to me.
This is one doll I wouldn't dare stare at for too long. Who knows, those creepy eyes may end up possessing you. She's best to be left in the back of somebody's closet, never to be seen again.
What would you do if you found these creepy cats trapped in a plate? Would you release them? Ha, ha! Somebody on Reddit said that they're the cat version of the twins from The Shining. I would say that's pretty accurate.
I'm surprised that this footstool hasn't walked out of the store yet. Get it? Ha, ha! I've only seen a few of these types of stools before, but that's plenty for me. Now, let's kick this thing to the curb.
