Teenager Uses Extra Fabric To Design A Matching Prom Dress For Her Dog

It shouldn't be a surprise that some people really bond with their pets. I'm a perfect example of that. My dog, who passed away a long time ago, was my best friend. I took her with me everywhere.

So, I was totally thrilled when I learned about this one girl who wanted to include her dog on the day of her prom. Wait until you read this story.

Pets give us unconditional love, and it's great to see that love reciprocated.

I've seen brides include their dogs on their wedding day. I would totally have done that if my dog was still alive. I think it's such a sweet gesture.

Needless to say, I was so happy when I heard that one Florida teen who went all out for her dog on prom day.

Guess what she did? She made a special dress for her adorable seven-year-old dachshund, Sasha.

OMG, what? Ha, ha! That sounds like a fabulous idea.

Brenda Sierra knew her beloved pooch couldn't attend her prom, but that didn't stop her from including the dog in the celebrations. She got an idea, and she ran with it.

When Brenda bought her prom dress, she realized there was a lot of extra fabric.

She ended up getting it shortened but kept the extra pieces. Out of those, she made a little dress for her dog, Sasha, and it couldn't have turned out better.

Oh my goodness. Isn't this the cutest thing you've ever seen?

I'm so blown away by this girl's dedication to her dog — and I have to praise her crafting skills, too. This little dog prom dress looks absolutely adorable, no?

So as it turns out, this isn't the first time Brenda has dressed up her dog.

She has done so on a few occasions while taking Sasha out for a walk. But this time was, of course, pretty special since it was Brenda's prom.

As you can see in these fashionable photos, Sasha was the perfect addition to a fun prom photoshoot.

I wonder what the dog thought of the whole commotion. Do you think she loved it or was annoyed by it?

Since this prom dress-making was such a success, Brenda thought of something else.

She made Sasha a graduation gown, too, including the most adorable cap. Oh my gosh, I can't stop smiling at these fantastic pictures here. Don't you love it?

Isn't this such a unique story?

Let me ask you: Have you ever included your pet on a special occasion? I wish I were able to have my dog at my wedding. It would be so sweet to have my best friend there.
