Teacher Gives His Own Shoes To Student Found In Violation Of Graduation Dress Code

In many schools, there are strict policies for dress codes and attire. Some schools require that students wear uniforms, while others allow students to wear their own clothing. For events, like graduation, some schools require attire that is more formal than the everyday school day.

However, not all students have this kind of attire at home ready to wear for graduation.

Being a teacher isn't easy.

It's tiring, it's long hours, and sometimes you don't get the thank you deserve.

But what makes it worth it? Your students. Especially when a student loves you as much as you love them!

Sometimes, kids need a bit of help from their teachers.

Recently, one teacher shared the story of his student in need at their graduation ceremony.

John Butler posted a photo side-by-side with the student, sharing that he was in a bind right before the graduation ceremony started.

Apparently, the student's shoes were "not proper attire" for graduation.

Which is absolutely shocking to hear!

"Last minute before they close the doors to graduation. The young brother comes walking towards me in a panic."

"He’s like, Mr. John they won’t let me graduate because I don’t have the proper shoes for the dress code,"

"he says the lady down there said I can’t walk to get my diploma because of the shoes I’m wearing,"

The teacher went to confirm, and was shocked when he heard that was indeed the truth.

"So then it becomes a no brainer to me, a no more questions asked scenario.

I gave him the shoes on my feet."

He continued:

"Here’s the funny part tho... my shoes were 2 sizes bigger than his, so when his name was called, he had to slide his feet like Sleestak across the stage to receive his diploma we had a good laugh,"

People online began to praise John for being such an excellent and caring teacher.

Which, if you know anything about teachers, that is always the general consensus.

They are always looking out for their students.

What a touching story!

What do you think of the story? Do you think the student should have been able to keep his shoes?
