Kate Middleton's Replica Outfit Holds An Emotional Tribute To Princess Diana

Kate Middleton is known for always having the most impeccable style. Her outfits never fail to set trends for the rest of us, while her ability to restyle several ensembles makes her super relatable — even to us everyday folk!

Now, fans are noticing the Duchess' most recent outfit paid homage to Princess Diana in the most touching way.

As fans may have seen, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge—who are referred to as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn while in Scotland—continued their tour of the country this past weekend.

While the pair visited Turning Point Scotland’s center in Coatbridge, Kate stunned fans in a gorgeous blue number.

The Zara blazer (hello, affordable!) was perfectly matched with a pleated skirt by the U.K. brand Hope, as reported by *People.*

The outfit was truly the star of the show, and it quickly reminded fans of one of Princess Diana's iconic ensembles from decades prior.

In September 1992, Diana was photographed in this outfit:

As you can see, the outfits are incredibly similar.

This homage comes at an emotional time given Prince William's recent speech at the Church of Scotland just days prior to their appearance on the 24th.

"Scotland is the source of some of my happiest memories. But also my saddest,” Prince William said, as per Entertainment Tonight.

"I was at Balmoral [Castle] when I was told my mother had died. Still in shock, I found sanctuary in the service at Crathie Kirk that very morning. And in the dark days of grief that followed, I found comfort and solace in the Scottish outdoors."

"As a result, the connection I feel to Scotland will forever run deep.”

He continued: "And yet alongside this painful memory is one of great joy. Because it was here in Scotland—20 years ago this year—that I first met Catherine. Needless to say, the town where you meet your future wife holds a very special place in your heart."

"George, Charlotte, and Louis already know how dear Scotland is to both of us, and they are starting to build their own happy memories here too. We have no doubt they will grow up sharing our love and connection to Scotland from the Highlands to the Central Belt, from the Islands to the Borders," he concluded.

What a beautiful way to honor Princess Diana and all the memories Prince William has in Scotland.
