Candace Cameron Bure Credits 'Spicy' Sex Life For Her Strong, 25-Year Marriage

If there's one thing we can glean from the typical trajectory of celebrity marriages, it's that the spotlight has a way of turning relationships into uphill battles.

Because as glamorous as fame can seem, it can often make people too busy to see each other and put a lot of pressure on individuals that bleeds into their personal relationships.

So when a celebrity is able to make it work for a long period of time, people start to get curious about their "secret." And for Candace Cameron Bure, it seems that the answer is what she describes as a "spicy" sex life.

While speaking to *Daily Blast Live*, the 45-year-old *Full House* star discussed how she keeps things fresh with her husband, retired NHL player Valeri Bure.

As she said, "The longer that you're married it's so easy to take each other for granted. You know each other so well that you forget, so you have to keep it spicy and I love that."

Bure credits the fact that they've managed to do that as one of the reasons that they've reached the point where they can celebrate 25 years of marriage this year.

Although Bure didn't get specific about how people can go about doing that, she encouraged embracing the unexpected.

In her words, "Maybe lay in a way that you don't normally lay. He'll be like 'Woah.' You'll surprise him!"

Naturally, it's hard to get more specific than that since everyone's tastes are a little different and we don't always know what we'll like until we experiment a little.

Back in September, Bure showed how "sweet and spicy" her relationship is with this affectionate photo.

According to Yahoo Entertainment, this attracted some backlash from other members of her Christian community and she responded by saying that as a Christian, she believes that sex is to be celebrated.

As she put it, "Sex is the blessing of marriage and I hate when Christians are like, 'No! You have to pretend like you've never had sex.'"

Bure also recalled hearing, "We only know that you've had sex three times because you've had three children."

And while appearing on _ Confessions of a Crappy Christian Podcast_, she said that this attitude towards sex made her sad.

In her words, "Because if we are to promise ourselves for one another and preach saving yourself for marriage, then sex needs to be celebrated within marriage and it's not to be shameful."
