Woman Branded 'Karen' After Confronting Neighbor's Emotional Support Pig In Video

Although it's been a while since I've been there due to the pandemic, I can definitely think of a lot of unusual scenes I've been treated to as a result of working in an office downtown.

For the most part, it usually involves someone ranting about their big theory on society or religion or the price of Big Macs or whatever's bothering them that day. Such sights might be worth an amused look from time to time but I generally stick to my policy of "eyes front, don't engage, keep walking."

Of course, there are some situations where we might feel compelled to get involved if something harmful is happening but it generally costs us nothing to mind our own business.

And from the looks of things, that's what the people who filmed the full video wished one of their neighbors had done.

Last month, a video appeared on Reddit's r/PublicFreakout community showing a confrontation between three women over a pig named Chorizo.

While the pig's owner and her friend tell the other woman to leave them alone, she maintains that they're not allowed to have a pig in what seems to be a public park.

However, the only community bylaw that she cites concerns putting leashes on dogs, to which the pair reply that Chorizo is indeed on a leash.

With that avenue of complaint exhausted, the woman then mentions how big Chorizo is and reacts strongly when he roots around in this dirt patch and defecates.

Again, however, the owner is quick to pick up the pig's waste and Chorizo had already stopped doing what the woman described as "eating the landscape" by then.

Throughout the video, the pig remains silent and slowly loafs around while his owner's friend calls the woman "Karen" and — amusingly — a "grumpy pants."

The owner also explains that the pig is her emotional support animal, which the woman expresses disbelief at.

The owner then tells the woman to contact her lawyer if she can't get past the pig's presence, to which she replies that she will take the matter up with the local homeowner's association.

To that, the two friends reply that she's welcome to do that because they're already aware of Chorizo's existence since his owner has lived in the area for a year.

Although she replies that she's never seen them before and "knows everything that goes on around here" and renews her disbelief that the pig is an emotional support animal.

All the while, the pair remind her that their walk has nothing to do with her and that the pig is not harming anybody.

After the woman's warnings appear not to have the effect she intended, she starts asking the pair for their names and where they live.

They reply that they're not obligated to provide that information and threaten to call the police to make a harassment complaint.

Soon after, the situation finally winds down and the woman leaves with the promise that she'll follow up on the matter.

Whether you want to see this confrontation for yourself or just want to see Chorizo trudge around, the full video can be seen right here.
