10+ Celebrities Who Aren't Afraid To Speak Their Minds

Many celebs have built their careers on the backs of speaking their mind. And by that, we mean controversy.

Drama seems to folow them everywhere as the result of their inability to keep their mouths shut.

Whether they're sharing their personal beliefs or throwing shade at other celebs, here are 10+ celebs who aren't afraid to speak their minds.

1. Madonna

She clearly wrote the song "Express Yourself" for a reason.

Back in September, she stirred up controversy by saying that modern-day pop stars have to be "controversial," such as "exposing their butt" if they "if [they] want a career".

2. Kayne West

He is the KING of sharing his thoughts.

Who could forget the time he said, "George Bush doesn't care about Black people?"

Or the infamous time he interrupted Tayor Swift's award speech at the 2009 VMAS and said Beyonce should have won?

He has even shared his inner thoughts on his family.

Let's all remember the time he tweeted out disparaging things against ex Kim Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner.

These antics are reportedly what led Kim to file for divorce.

3. Demi Lovato

She's one of the most recent celebs to speak thher mind.

Earlier this month, she started beef with a frozen yogurt shop for carrying sugar-free items that are "triggering" to those like her recovering from eating disorders.

“Finding it extremely hard to order froyo from @thebiggchillofficial when you have to walk past tons of sugar free cookies/other diet foods before you get to the counter,” she wrote on Instagram.

After she received backlash for slamming the yogurt shop, she apologized.

4. Martha Stewart

This queen of home cooking isn't afraid to stir the pot.

When Gwyneth Paltrow started her lifestyle brand, Goop, Stewart took a shot at the actress. “She’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart."

5. Alec Baldwin

The 30 Rock actor has a history of getting in trouble thanks to his mouth.

Many years ago, an angry voicemail leaked of him yelling at his then-11-year-old daughter. In it, he called her a "rude, thoughtless little pig."

6. Nicki Minaj

Whether she’s outspoken in interviews or her lyrics, Nicki doesn’t back down.

When her “Anaconda” music video wasn’t nominated at the MTV video music awards, she called out MTV for its lack of nominations for women of color.

“If I was a different ‘kind’ of artist, Anaconda would be nominated for best choreo and vid of the year as well," she tweeted.

When she called out Taylor Swift indirectly, she ended up tweeting her disappointment in Nicki.

7. Lena Dunham

The Girls star has gotten in trouble in the past for speaking her mind.

She caused quite the stir years ago when she said that she no longer wears coverage on her private parts when filming a nude scene.

“I stopped wearing the nude patch after the first season of Girls,” she said in 2017.

“There’s not one guy who works on that show who hasn’t seen the inside of my vagina… This patch — you glue it over your vagina. It gets sweaty and always falls off. My male co-stars, at the end of the day, don’t care."

8. Katherine Heigl

While she's cooled down on sharing her inner thoughts, they once ran rampant.

Back when she was on Grey's Anatomy, she stirred up controversy when she withdrew her name from Emmy consideration by blaming the show's bad writing.

9. Kelly Clarkson

She may judge unknown singers on The Voice, but she's not afraid to judge her peers either.

She once tweeted this during the 2015 VMAs, “Just saw a couple performances from the VMA's last night. 2 words.... #pitchystrippers."

10. Mariah Carey

This known diva is never afraid to speak her mind.

Shall we remind you of the time she ignited a feud with Jennifer Lopez by saying, "I don't know her?" during an interview. Who has also shaded her exes.

11. Miley Cyrus

Miley is always known for keeping it real.

Sometimes, though, this gets her into trouble, like the time she criticized Nicki Minaj for making "not too kind" and "not too polite" comments about being snubbed by the VMAS.

12. Kim Kardashian

She didn't get where she is today without speaking her mind.

In 2016, she managed to brand Taylor Swift as a snake for calling out Taylor for their drama over Taylor's role in one of Kanye West's controversial lyrics.

Kim took the shade up a notch when she tweeted, "Wait it's legit National Snake Day?!?!?"

"They have holidays for everybody, I mean everything these days!" Yikes. She also included several snake emojis, which caused the internet to join in.

13. Lady Gaga

The singer didn't take too lightly to being compared to Madonna.

Instead of accepting the compliment, she shared how she really feels by saying that she's different because she actually writes her own music, plays instruments, and works as a producer.

14. Whoopi Goldberg

When the actress was left out of a meeting for The View, she reportedly went off on the executives.

A source told the Daily Mail that she referred to herself as a slave and used slave dialect.
