Roast Cinnamon Rolls On A Stick For An Easy Campfire Snack

Who gets excited when camping season starts? I definitely do. I can't wait to get out there in nature to experience all it has to offer.

But what would a great camping trip be without an equally awesome campfire, huh? And, of course, where there's a campfire, there's also food.

Today I want to share with you an unusual treat you can make right over the fire.

We're all used to making things like hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, and sausages over an open flame.

Am I right? Oh, and there's also eggs and bacon for breakfast. But wait, what about dessert? Well, I know there are s'mores, of course.

I'm talking about something a little different in this article.

Did you know that people are actually roasting cinnamon rolls over the fire, too? OMG, what? I can hardly believe that. I don't know about you, but I can totally get behind that idea.

So how does one do that?

I'm going to let you in on the secret: There are a few ways you can do this. One way is to grab a tube of pre-made cinnamon roll dough and unroll it. Then, wrap it around a campfire stick and get roasting.

Oh my goodness, doesn't that look like fun?

I honestly don't think I would have ever thought of doing this if I didn't see the idea online. But now that I see it, it makes perfect sense to me. How about you?

You can also shape the dough in a circular layer to resemble a typical cinnamon roll.

The only difference is you won't be putting it inside an oven. Instead, you roast it over the fire like this. Aha! I like this.

So why would you do this, you ask?

Well, there is a taste advantage to this method. You get that yummy, smokey taste from the fire. And the cinnamon roll gets crispy on the outside while being soft and gooey inside.

If that doesn't sound yummy, I don't know what will, ha, ha!

This is honestly such a brilliant idea. My mouth is starting to water as I write this. I need to make sure I bring cinnamon rolls on our next camping trip.

You can also try this technique this person used.

They rolled all the cinnamon rolls and placed them in a pot. Then they put it over the fire and cooked them that way. Wow! I wonder how they turned out this way.

So what do you think of this roasted cinnamon roll idea?

I have to say it looks like a lot of fun. I definitely have to try it out next time we do a campfire. I bet it will be a big hit with our friends.
