Let's be real — it's not easy to be a woman over the age of 30 in Hollywood. And while it's slowly getting better, women are still held to an abnormally high standard as opposed to their male counterparts.
One of the security blankets many people have is makeup, myself included! Makeup makes us all feel a little bit more refreshed and confident. So to grace a major magazine cover without makeup is kind of a big deal, but that's exactly what Katie Couric did!
Recently, she took on the monumental role of being the first woman to host Jeopardy! as the show continues to find its permanent host.
She did such an outstanding job that many were calling for her to take on the role full time!
I can nervous when people from my job see me out running errands without makeup on, but it really shouldn't be that way! Makeup should not be mandatory for women!
Posting a video from the monumental shoot, Katie reflected on what this means to her.
"But ultimately, I think when we start seeing women as they age and appreciate the beauty that comes with that, women will stop trying to look young all the time," she continued.
"We need to start appreciating and celebrating women at every age! Am I right ladies??"
Katie looks absolutely stunning, and it's hard to believe she's 64-year-old!
