Resurfaced John Oliver Clip From 2018 Predicted Meghan Markle's Trouble With Royal Family

It's been hard to focus on literally anything else besides the bombshell of an interview between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Oprah that aired on March 7th bringing out into the open all the difficulties and struggles the couple has faced since their marriage in 2018.

Another interview clip is going viral, but this one is a prediction that ended up coming true.

Meghan and Harry's interview with Oprah has shone a lot of light on their experiences in the Royal Family.

Obviously, it was a huge deal and it continues to make waves as the public hears directly from the couple themselves about what they dealt with from the media and from the other royals themselves.

The pair was open and honest about many subjects, including rumors of drama between Kate Middleton and Meghan.

Meghan and Harry also opened up about Meghan's second pregnancy, revealing that the couple will be having a baby girl.

With so much going on in the interview, it makes sense that nobody can stop talking about it!

Even before the interview aired, the tension between Meghan Markle and the Royal Family wasn't a secret.

Of course, the decision from Prince Harry and Meghan to step back from their royal duties in January of last year also brought public attention to the behind-the-scenes struggle the couple was facing.

An old interview clip of comedian John Oliver speaking to Stephen Colbert before Meghan and Harry's marriage in 2018 has now gone viral for accurately predicting the struggle before it began.

“I would not blame her if she pulled out of this at the last minute,” John said about Meghan and Harry's upcoming wedding.

“I don’t think you need to have just seen the pilot episode of The Crown to get a basic sense of, ‘She might be marrying into a family that could cause her some emotional complications,'" the British comedian joked to Stephen Colbert.

“Well, this generation seems like nice people, right?" Stephen asked.

"Yeah," John responded in a drawn-out way that earned laughter from the audience. “They’re an emotionally stunted group of fundamentally flawed people doing a very silly, pseudo job. That’s what she’s marrying into," John went on.

"So I hope she likes it. It’s going to be weird for her," John concluded.

The clip from the interview recently went viral with the caption "So John Oliver really called this one."

Fans reacted to the years-old video on Twitter.

"As he does with most things - I hope he does a show about the interview. It would be fascinating to hear his take," one fan wrote.

The clip has almost 400k views on the platform.

"Oliver has an accurate description of how brits feels about the Royal Family. Absolutely accurate. They are this weird, dysfunctional institution that people are used to have," one fan wrote.
