9+ Celebrities Who Were Fired From Their Jobs

These 9+ celebrities had one job: KEEP their job.

Yet, due to some of the craziest reasons, they each found themselves unemployed.

1. Isaiah Washington

The former Grey's Anatomy star got the boot from Shonda Rhimes when he got into a fight with a co-star and let out an anti-gay slur.

He even said the slur again when he was backstage at the 2007 Golden Globes Awards.

It all led to his dismissal from Grey's in 2007.

2. Jenelle Evans

The Teen Mom 2 star was fired because her husband reportedly shot and killed their dog.

In a statement, MTV said that they stopped working with her husband in 2018.

"Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019 and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season."

3. Julianne Moore

The Academy Award-winner was fired from the film Can You Ever Forgive Me before production ever began.

"Nicole [Holofcener] fired me … I think she didn’t like what I was doing," she said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

4. Megyn Kelly

The former Megyn Kelly Today starwas let go for her controversial comments about people wearing blackface during Halloween.

During her show, she said that Halloween is an acceptable time to wear blackface.

"You truly do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface,” she said.

“That was OK when I was a kid, as long as you were dressing like a character.”

5. Kevin Spacey

Netflix cut all ties with the actor in the wake of the allegations against him by Anthony Rapp.

"Netflix will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey,” the streaming service said.

They also cut production on his Netflix film, Gore.

6. Roseanne Barr

The Roseanne revival was canceled after the show's star wrote a racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett, Barack Obama’s former White House advisor.

Her now-deleted insensitive tweet had said: "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby = vj."

7. Megan Fox

Fox proved that bad-mouthing the boss is never a good idea when she was fired from the third installment of Transformers for her comments about the film's director, Michael Bay.

She put her foot in her mouth during an interview with British magazine, *Wonderland*.

In it, she compared Bay to Hitler and said that he's a nightmare to work for.

Yikes.

8. Ryan Gosling

Oof, this is awkward.

Ryan Gosling was fired from The Lovely Bones for gaining 60 pounds of weight to play the dad, Jack Solomon.

"I just showed up on set, and I had gotten it wrong," Gosling said. "Then I was fat and unemployed."

9. Khloé Kardashian

Khloé got "kut" from her hosting gig on X-Factor, alongside Mario Lopez, for reportedly being too inexperienced and awkward.

While Mario was asked back for Season 3, Khloé was not.

10. Anne Hathaway

The movie Knocked Up almost had Anne Hathaway as the lead role instead of Katherine Heigel.

The reason she got the boot before production began? She and the movie's creator, Judd Apatow, disagreed about the explicit birth scene.

“I thought about that…Judd [Apatow] was right to include the shot. I didn't disagree with the shot," she told "Allure".

She continued: "My issue with it was that having not experienced motherhood myself, I didn't know how I was gonna feel on the other side about giving birth.”

11. Taylor Momsen

After four years of playing Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, the good-girl-gone-bad was dismissed as a regular for her "unreliable and erratic behavior."

Fans assumed this was most likely around the time she started her band The Pretty Reckless.

This unreliability, unfortunately, is what led to her being fired from *Gossip Girl*.

“Taylor wasn’t on set filming much this season, but when she did show up she wasn’t very level-headed,” said a source to Hollywood Life.

12. James Gunn

After a lot of controversial tweets resurfaced from James Gunn's Twitter account, the director of Guardians of the Galaxy was let go.

“The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him,” Disney chairman Alan Horn said.

“I used to make a lot of offensive jokes. I don’t anymore. I don’t blame my past self for this, but I like myself more and feel like a more full human being and creator today,” Gunn said in a series of tweets.

A lot of people were divided by the jokes, some saying it was his job as a comedian to make uncomfortable jokes, and others saying he went too far.

13. Garrison Keillor

Radio host Garrison Keillor was fired by Minnesota Public Radio after allegations of harassment came out against him.

Keillor claimed that his firing was “over a story that I think is more interesting and more complicated than the version MPR heard.”

14. Matt Lauer

There have been a ton of TV personalities let go for very serious reasons involving some kind of abuse. Lauer was one of them.

Lauer was fired off of The Today Show after a colleague accused him of sexual misconduct.

15. Kate Walsh

Walsh has a history of working for what she calls "fast-food royalty."

She was fired from Burger King because "The assistant manager didn't like me!" After that, she went to work at Dairy Queen: "I stayed in fast-food royalty."

16. Bill Hader

Hader used to work at a movie theater, but was let go after a confrontation with a group of women.

"A sorority group rented out the movie theater. They were rude to me so I told them the end of Titanic," he said.
