But how do you exactly do that if you've never painted anything in your house? That's probably what you're asking yourself right now. Am I right? Hold on to that thought.

I recently stumbled upon a cool video on TikTok that shows you exactly what you need to do to accomplish this.

It's so simple I don't know why I haven't thought of doing something like that to one of my rooms before.

In the video, user Haylie from the account @home_by_haylie gives her followers a quick tutorial on how to paint color-blocked walls.

The first step you need to do is to tape up your walls with painter's tape. This way, you can easily outline the pattern you're trying to create.

Then you paint over the taped-up sections.

You will need to use two coats of paint to have full coverage. That's something I already know since my fiancé is a professional painter. He would scoff if you did it any other way, ha, ha!

Haylie said she used Frog Tape, which you are supposed to remove while the paint is still wet.

Once you painted it all you need to do is peel off the tape, and voilà!

Now you have created color-blocked walls. Isn't that something, huh? Who knew that this would be so easy to do after all. I'm quite impressed.

What do you think of that?

Doesn't it look like it was done by a professional? Okay, I know this looks easy enough, so don't get too cocky. You will still need an actual professional to do many other complicated painting jobs.

However, for something as simple as this color-block DIY, I bet you could do this yourself.

In fact, I wouldn't mind taking a crack at it myself, ha, ha! But don't tell my fiancé, okay? He would most likely want to do it all himself.

As it turns out, other folks on TikTok were as equally impressed by this hack as I was.

I bet many of them are going to draw some great inspiration from this video. So don't be surprised if you're going to see even more color-block walls.

One person who is even a professional painter themselves said they were going to try this.

If it has a painter's seal of approval, it must be a good hack, right?

So what do you think of this painting hack?

Do you think it's as easy as it looks? Would you attempt to do this yourself? I have to admit as much fun as this looks, I still would probably ask my fiancé to do it, hee, hee!
