You won't find Mayim Bialik's kids watching The Big Bang Theory anytime soon.
The actress, known for her rather controversial parenting methods, has added "no TV" to the list of other strict parenting rules she enforces.

They have to make decisions that work best for them and their children, and when you're a celebrity, your decisions are often scrutinized.
Mayim Bialik definitely knows how that feels.
The Big Bang Theory alum is the mother to two boys: Miles, 15, and Frederick, 13. She had both with ex-husband, Michael Stone, who she was married to for nine years.
One thing Mayim has been doing since their birth is raising her kids using attachment parenting.
The actress and scientist (she's a neuroscientist) believes in the subject so much that she even published a book on the subject!
While the book certainly has merit, Mayim made a few waves with some of the things she encouraged.
This includes co-sleeping (sleeping in the same bed with your kids) and babywearing (carrying your baby close to you in a sling).
This is something that she views as a super mother-infant bonding moment.
Obviously, a lot of people had some opinions on this.
“The way that I parent is the way thousands of women parent all over the world, but I get flak for it," she told The Huffington Post.
Another parenting decision that's bound to get people riled up is the fact that she doesn't let her kids watch TV.
By default, this means that her kids haven't seen The Big Bang Theory, aka the hit show she was on for nine seasons.
She appeared briefly in Season Three before becoming a part of the main cast in Season Four.
It's fair to say that the show changed her life. She made lifelong friends and was making around $425,000 per episode in the show's final season.
But even though it was a major part of her life, she hasn't changed her stance on letting her kids watch it.
She once wrote about it in an article for Kveller.
"I am committed to making shifts in ways that bring me closer to my kids and closer to a sense of peace with technology for me, for my kids, and for the sake of all our interactions, virtual and otherwise."
"We don't let our kids watch TV. Not even Blossom or The Big Bang Theory."
While a lot of this has to do with her strict parenting methods, she has admitted to simply not being a "TV-watching family."
She said so on Us Weekly’s “Watch With Us” podcast that her kids have seen Avatar.
When she admitted that her kids have seen their mom in her new show, Call Me Kat, she blamed her ex-husband for that.
She then explained some personal reasons as to why she refrains from watching her shows with her kids.
“I don’t watch myself and really didn’t want to hear them be like, ‘You look weird. Why is your hair like [that]?’"
Fair enough!
As for The Big Bang Theory, both Bialik and Stone agreed that it's off the table for now.
"A lot of the content is stuff that I'm not ready to get into them with yet," Bialik told Metro in 2019.
