This Artist Gives A Major Dose Of Reality To Disney Princesses

Many of us youngin's grew up wanting to be a Disney princess. Back when we were young, it seemed like Disney princesses were perfect. They had the best hair and clothes, they had a ton of friends, and, of course, they dated and married some real hotties.

But this just isn't real life. We don't all gracefully run down stairs and perfectly lose a glass slipper without it taking a tumble and shattering.

That's why an Instagram artist has reimagined Disney princesses in super realistic and modern situations to show us that even princesses have double chins and messy hair.

Digital artist Andhika Muksin draws Disney princesses, but gives them a big dose of reality.

In Disney films, the princesses have an element of perfection and hyperfemininity to them, whether it be their physical attributes like their body size and fashion or their mannerisms.

Andhika reimagines the princesses in more realistic situations, like the way pizza is eaten.

If someone were to take a snap of me eating pizza, it would definitely look a lot worse than cartoon Ariel eating pizza, but this is still accurate.

I love that he reimagined the princesses using the popular gender-swapping filter on Snapchat.

Modern princesses gotta use the modern tools.

When there is any depiction of wind in the films, the princesses still look perfect.

In reality, extreme wind hurts eyes, let alone the debris it picks up in its path, and can also tangle our hair pretty bad!
