Tale as old as time, true as it can be, Belle is a snob, and really uppity.
When I was a nerdy little girl, I loved Belle, because I finally felt represented by a Disney princess. Watching it back now, though, I have learned two things: 1. Belle is definitely a snob, and 2. I was most likely a snob too.
Sure, a lot of people want to get out of their small town that they grew up in, but not everyone walks around insulting the residents set to an idyllic tune.
Who she then promptly ignores as she makes her way through the village while simultaneously declaring there MUST be more than this provincial life.
No wonder the townsfolk all thought she was strange. When she didn't have her nose in a book, it was way up in the air.
