The Ellen Show

Okay people, it's time for another rules list. This time it's about when celebrities had to show up on Ellen. That show seemed so relaxed, but even they had rules!

1. You will be jump scared

One of the most prominent things on The Ellen Show were the jump scares, so if you're were ever visiting her, you can probably bet that you were going to get spooked by her.

2. Ellen's Parties

The stars would have to talk about one of Ellen's elaborate parties during their guest spot on her show. Whether you attended and didn't see her, or the opposite, then there's a good chance they'd still have to chat about it.

3. Must Participate In Games

This one is probably the most obvious. If someone was on Ellen, and they agreed to be on Ellen, then they might be asked to play a game. And they are obviously probably obligated to play.

4. No Cellphones

ABC

Obviously, people were not allowed be taking out their cellphones during an interview with Ellen. There were some exceptions, however, like if they wanted to take a selfie for Instagram, Ellen might let that go.

5. Dance

One of the things Ellen is known for around the world is her dancing. People both on stage and in the crowed would be required to dance and that was usually always the best part.

6. Don't Be Fake

Ellen didn't want people to be a fake celebrities on her show.

As casual and fun as it is, she always wanted people to be real. Just like that song... what's it called again...

7. Prepare To Possibly Be Uncomfortable

This is a part of the realness I was talking about earlier.

Occasionally (see Kanye's interview) celebrities would have to talk about the more uncomfortable parts of their careers.

8. Perform

Ellen, like many talk show hosts, always had someone ready to perform for her. She had some of the best stars in the world perform.

9. Dress Casually

You'd rarely going to dress in a suit or tie when you go on Ellen.

Nope, you'd just be in comfy clothes for a more often-than-not comfy interview.

10. No Cussing

People couldn't be too comfy on Ellen, either.

If someone had a potty mouth, you had to check that shoot at the door and don't be a b-word because Ellen runs a flipping family show, mother father.

11. Kardashians

Ellen is a huge fan of the Kardashians, so chances were, on her show she might bring them up once or twice.

And honestly, it didn't matter what you're opinion on them might be.

12. Be Her Acquaintance

Most of the time, you'd see people who are Ellen's friends on her show. If they weren't friends before, after the interview they certainly were.

13. Be Funny

If you were going to appear on the Ellen show, you had to have a sense of humor to keep up with the talk show host. She always had her guests on her toes.

14. Talk About Their Kids

Being a family show watched by daytime moms all around the world, Ellen always wanted her guests to share stories and pictures about their children. It was super relatable.
