Adam Sandler Recreates Iconic 'Happy Gilmore' Drive To Celebrate Film's 25th Anniversary

It's hard to believe that so many beloved movies from the '90s are going to be in their mid-twenties, or even thirties this year! It feels like Happy Gilmore just hit theatres but in reality, it was released 25 years ago! It's hard to believe the world ever existed without this film, to be honest.

Now, Adam Sandler is celebrating the film's milestone birthday the best way he knows how!

Remember in the '90s, when Adam Sandler was a respected actor.

Fresh off his days at Saturday Night Live, and long before films like Jack and Jill could even be imagined, Adam Sandler was the friggin man.

And while I still adore everything he does, there's no denying '90s Sandler was THE BEST Sandler.

One of the comedian's most popular films is easily Happy Gilmore which recently turned 25 YEARS OLD!

Released on February 16th 1996, the film quickly became a cult classic.

Now, Adam is celebrating the film's milestone birthday by recreating Happy's famous swing!

Thank goodness for social media in moments like these!

"Happy loves you all! Thanks for everything!" he captioned the video,

He told the camera it has been 25 years since he had swung the 'ol clubs around, but I think he did a pretty good job!

"Shooter McGavin, this is for you," Adam said. "I'm not lying to you. That is smashed. Smashed. That went pretty well."

He concluded: "You're dead, Shooter!"

Happy birthday, Happy Gilmore!
