Punky Brewster is coming back for some more good times, and Variety has confirmed it.
We all know that we live in an age of reboots and revivals, but I'm pretty sure that this is one that we can all get behind!
Television really does know how to cater to our nostalgic needs.
Why?
Well, a reboot with completely new characters can sometimes be a drag, but with Soleil returning, we can bet that the new show will have the original charm of the old one.
Throughout the show, she will meet a young girl who will remind her of herself when she was a child.
We love a mentoring moment! I'm sure there will even be some Easter Eggs that will throw us back to the original show.
It was nominated for Emmys, it was turned into an animated series, and has been loved from the beginning until its end.
Hopefully, the new series will run for just as long, or maybe even longer!
