People Are Doing Home Repairs With Ramen Noodles And The Results Speak For Themselves

The world of DIY has no limits when it comes to resourcefulness and creativity, but even I was shocked by the results of these home repairs done using instant ramen noodles.

Yes, those cheap packages of food that likely sustained you during your college days are also pretty effective at fixing everything from your car to your bathroom sink.

Don't believe me? Check these repairs out.

This DIY trend can be traced back to this viral video of someone repairing a large burn in a table with ramen noodles.

In each of these repairs, cyanoacrylate glue is applied to the surface and ramen. The chemical reaction allows the ramen to harden and make it sturdy enough for the repair.

Now, the ramen noodles are added.

A hammer was used to crush them so that they could fill the hole. Once the ramen had filled the hole, the area was sanded smooth and sealed.

With some paint and a few finishing touches, the table is as good as new.

I know, it seems like a joke at first, right? But, then again, you can't argue with these results.

While this might seem odd, it turns out a lot of random objects can be used to fill repairs.

Sawdust and styrofoam are common fillers for holes and repairs around the home. Instant ramen noodles are actually not that different from those materials if you think about it.

Besides home repairs, people have also uploaded videos of ramen being used for auto repairs.

After buffing out the hole and using some auto paint, this bumper looks amazing.

You can't even tell there was a hole there before. Since auto repairs can be pretty pricey, this is actually a great hack.

Here's another repair, this time of a chipped bowl.

Cardboard was used to create a mold for the ramen so that it would have a curved edge to match the bowl. When the ramen was dry, the area was shaped and sanded.

A little paint and sealant patched this bowl right up.

And now this person can enjoy a bowl full of ramen... out of their ramen bowl. It's weird if you think about it, but also genius.

And finally, this fix actually blew my mind.

Someone fixed a cracked sink with instant ramen noodles. Every time I use a sink from now on, I'm going to wonder if it's actually made out of ramen. I mean, you really can't tell the difference.
