Youtube content creator Jared Knabenbauer, better known by his channel name ProJared, is best known for being a gamer who regularly shares videos of himself reviewing and playing video games with his over 900,000 subscribers.
He also has a second Youtube channel exclusively for videos of himself playing video games which he uploads to daily.
Around that time, Heidi started her own Youtube channel where she posted videos of her cosplay and sometimes featured clips of her and Jared together.
To their fans and loyal following, their marriage seemed like it was without any issues. They seemed perfectly happy.
But this week, everything changed.
More specifically, Jared released a statement on Twitter on Wednesday in which he explained that the two were divorcing to "seek happiness" for themselves.
At the end of the post, Jared said this would be his only public address of the divorce and that Heidi's "privacy, mental well being and discretion" remains his highest priority.
It all seemed very amicable. But things aren't always what they seem.
In a series of 43 tweets, she outed her husband as having cheated on her with Holly Conrad, a fellow gamer and sci-fi enthusiast who regularly worked with the couple and joined them on outings.
Heidi told her followers that she has proof that Jared was cheating with Holly and that the two had been texting each other explicit images and arranging times to meet over a period of several months in 2018.
"Jared tried very, very hard to make me feel responsible for everything that's gone wrong in our relationship," she wrote. "He technically broke up with me in February, insisting that the only thing wrong with our marriage was me. Insisting that HE had tried to make things work."
"In the beginning, it was a joke," she wrote. "Then it was its own Tumblr account just for nudes. It was ostensibly a body-positive space for consenting adults, and I approved on that basis."
Jared then set up a secret Snapchat account with Heidi alleges he used to encourage fans to send him nude photos of themselves.
Heidi wrote that Jared had kept her in "isolation" from his friend group to avoid getting caught in his own lies.
"He told his friends a version of events that omits his infidelity and portrays me as an aggressive and unreasonable person," she said. "As though I'm randomly angry and upset all the time, for no reason at all. It's because he's abusing me."
As of right now, Jared has yet to give any sort of public response to all of Heidi's allegations.
But considering how public their personal issues have become, we're confident we'll be hearing an update very soon.
