Season Two Of Mindhunter Will Premiere On Netflix This August

You and I both know how painful it is to wait for a second season of a beloved show, especially when we binged the entire first season on Netflix in one day.

Patience? We don't know her.

Fans have been waiting for more Mindhunter since its release in October 2017.

The hit true crime show starring Jonathan Groff as FBI Agent Holden Ford was well received by TV watchers and critics alike upon its airing.

With stunning visuals, mind-boggling plots, and an all-star lead, Mindhunter's success is no surprise to us.

Netflix confirmed that the show had been renewed for a second season back in November 2017.

However, we've gone almost two years without any information about when season two will be released on the streaming platform. It's been rough, to say the least.

In a recent interview, executive producer Charlize Theron spilled the beans on season two.

"We can't wait" she said on the Howard Stern Show .

"Deep, dark...it's wonderful."

"Season two is coming out in August"

Representatives at Netflix have yet to officially confirm a release date, but we can pretty well trust that it will be at some point in August, as Theron works closely with the production of the show.

The new season will address real-life events from 1979-1981, two years after season one.

Director David Fincher told Billboard that season two will focus on the Atlanta Child Murders, and will explore [John Douglas](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mindhunter_(TV_series) (the character on which Groff's character Holden is based) and his real involvement in the case.

We can't wait!
