The world has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of their son or daughter for the last few months.

We learned that Meghan had gone into labor early on May 6th.

It wasn't much longer that we learned she had given birth to a baby boy.

They shared the exciting news on their Instagram.

They shared that their son weighs a healthy 7lbs. 3oz.

Prince Harry seemed overjoyed while making his royal statement.

"Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning," he said.

"It's been the most amazing experience I could ever possibly imagine," he added, with a big smile on his face.

"The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives," the Instagram post read.

The royal couple continued to receive so many congratulatory and positive messages about the news on the post.

The couple is known to defy many royal traditions, and this moment proves no different.

We have yet to see a traditional baby photo op outside of the hospital on the steps, but I'm sure it won't be long before we do see some first photos!

More details will follow.
