Ashley Benson And Cara Delevingne Shut Down Trolls Who Said They Should Date Men

You know how virtually accosting someone to preach homophobia and spew hatred is wildly dated and unethical? Well, apparently, not everybody got the memo.

Ashley Benson and Cara Delevingne started dating about one year ago, and they've had our hearts ever since.

We loved them separately, of course. But they're cute af together.

In May of 2018, they were spotted making out a bar.

The moment the public caught wind of this budding romance, we couldn't stop internally screaming. It was the greatest news since sliced bread.

They two have managed to keep their relationship pretty low-key. But still, by every indication, they're adorable.

Ashley wears a necklace with both of their initials hanging off of it.

BTW, the initials "ABCD"? Come on. They're obviously meant to be.

A source finally confirmed that the pair were officially dating in October of 2018.

A source revealed to US Weekly that Ashley is "very happy" in her relationship with Cara.

"Ashley and Cara are dating. This is the first girl she’s ever dated," the source said.

"This relationship with Cara is the first time she’s been in a healthy relationship and she feels as if it’s really easy with her."

But trolls have a tendency to sense when celebrities are happy and try their best to ruin it.

Someone with an obvious homophobic agenda commented on Ashley's photo on Instagram, urging her to date a "religious man".

The commenter wrote that he knows Ashley and warned her to stay away from "that devil".

He assured her that there are probably many religious men that would take her.

Ashley fired back, telling the person to mind their own business.

She clarified that everything this person said was made up — but I think we all already knew that.

But if that wasn't enough, Cara made sure to have Ashley's back as well.

She replied, calling the person disgusting — telling them that she pities them for not having anything better to do than to hate on two strangers for being happy and in a relationship.

Fans quickly supported Ashley and Cara for clapping back.

One fan tweeted, praising Ashley and Cara for "single-handedly" crushing homophobia with their replies on Instagram.

Other fans agreed — tweeting that Ashley and Cara just ended homophobia.

While that, unfortunately, may not be true, they definitely showed the homophobic trolls on Instagram that they aren't willing to put up with them.

This person tweeted, calling the commenter rude and pointing out they had no right to say anything negative about their relationship.

They also pointed out that Cara standing up for Ashley spoke volumes about her character.

Another fan replied to another homophobic comment that someone wrote, supporting the initial one.

They wrote that Ashley is probably not losing a wink of sleep over what anyone else thinks about who she dates.

This fan commented, reminding everyone that Ashley Benson doesn't care if you're on board with who she chooses to date.

They went on, telling the haters that if they don't have anything positive to say then they shouldn't say anything at all.

Although there will probably still be homophobic trolls that try and bring them down again in the future, it's nice to know that they aren't having any of it.

Let this be a warning — if you were planning on saying something hateful about Ashley and Cara's relationship, they will come for you and put you to shame.

Let us know what you think of Ashley and Cara standing up for their relationship against homophobia.

Hopefully, this scared off the trolls from trying to give their two cents for a while!
