Donald Trump has responded to Joe Biden's criticism of his statements following the Charlottesville white supremacist rally in 2017.
Following the attack, he had originally said that there were "very fine people" on both sides of the protest.
His statements came under fire after he refused to denounce the white supremacists in Charlottesville who were inciting violence.
“I was talking about people that went because they felt very strongly about the monument to Robert E. Lee, a great general," he stated to reporters while on his way to speak at the National Rifle Association’s annual meeting.
Despite Joe Biden's criticism of Trump on Thursday, claiming that he failed to distinguish between the white supremacists and demonstrators in Charlottesville, Trump stands by his word.
In Biden's Thursday video, he described the Charlottesville attack as "a threat to this nation unlike any [he] had ever seen in [his] lifetime."
Regardless of public opinion, it is clear that the President has made up his mind on the issue.
