Kelly Clarkson Told Her Kids She Made Their Easter Baskets, Not The Easter Bunny

When it comes to holiday traditions, every family is different.

Take, Easter, for example. When I was growing up, there would be a few treats from the Easter Bunny hidden around our house, but it was a pretty modest celebration.

Tired of the Easter Bunny getting all the credit, Kelly Clarkson recently revealed that she told her kids where their Easter treats really came from (sorry, Easter Bunny) and it has sparked an interesting debate.

Chances are, you know who Kelly Clarkson is.

I mean, you probably have a few of her hits stuck in your head right now ("Since you've been gooooone...").

She's come a long way since her American Idol days and she's currently a judge on The Voice.

Kelly is also a busy mom to her two kids.

Her daughter, River is four, and her son, Remington, is three. I think it's safe to say that she has her hands full with these two.

In a recent interview with "People", Kelly revealed her family's Easter traditions.

Like many families celebrating Easter, her children enjoyed some Easter baskets and an egg hunt.

However, Kelly said that she and her husband take credit for her kid's Easter treats — not the Easter Bunny.

“Even my nanny came in this morning and was like, ‘What did the Easter Bunny bring?’ And I was like, ‘Wait what?'” Kelly said in an interview with People. “I kind of just was like, ‘Mommy and daddy did these for you.’

Kelly went on to explain that she wanted to acknowledge the work she put into making her kid's Easter treats.

"Sometimes I’m tired of giving credit to non-existent things. Like I’m very busy, and I took the time to shop at Target and put this all together. I did this — no bunny!" she said.

Of course, the internet had some thoughts on this revelation.

Some people thought Kelly was taking the fun out of Easter by telling her kids she bought their treats and not the Easter Bunny.

Some people sided with Kelly.

It's true that Easter isn't about treats and a bunny. Every family celebrates Easter in their own way.

A few people even consider the tradition of the Easter Bunny and Santa a form of lying.

This is a parenting debate that has been going on forever. While some people think it's harmless fun, others worry about teaching their kids that it's okay to lie. What do you think?

Despite the internet drama, it sounds like Kelly had a great Easter with her family.

She spent time with her kids doing an egg hunt and then worked on her new album (which I am super pumped for). Don't listen to the haters, Kelly. You take credit for those Easter baskets!
