Three Major Celeb Couples Announced They're Separating, At The Exact Same Time

Apparently, cuffing season is long over, because relationships seem to be ending everywhere we look.

Summertime is where longterm relationships go to die, and we're headed right for it.

Unfortunately, single-fever has struck its first victims in the celebrity community, and we are all absolutely heartbroken for them.

For starters, we've got Anna Camp and Skylar Astin.

The pair met on the set of Pitch Perfect and it was love at first sight. Well, sort of.

Skylar was actually dating somebody else when they first met, which made Anna a bit hesitant to make her move.

But instead, Skylar ended up asking her out.

"He was dating somebody, and I had been through [a divorce] and he was like, 'Do you want to go on a date?'"

Anna also revealed that she was doubly hesitant to give Skylar a chance because of their age difference.

"I remember thinking, Well, he's younger than me. He's five years younger. He's 26, and I'm 31. But I was like, 'You know what? OK! Let's do it, let's see.' He's literally my best friend," she recalled.

Anyway, one thing led to another and they ended up tying the knot in 2016.

Anna shared a ton of wedding photos, they were all equally stunning, and I may or may not have saved them to my Pinterest for future wedding inspo...

They were so cute together, it was nauseating.

But that's the way romance should be, amirite?

The type of couple that shows so much PDA, it makes people around them feel uncomfortable — those are real #CoupleGoals.

Unfortunately, after just three years of marriage, they are calling it quits.

Their reps told E! "We can confirm that we have decided to separate, and this decision was made mutually and amicably. We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this transition."

According to TMZ, Anna filed for divorce.

The pair were assumed to be on the rocks since they hadn't been seen together since October, and they both stopped posting photos with each other on Instagram as of January.

Next, we have Michelle Williams and her husband, musician, Phil Elverum.

The two were married in the summer of 2018. They had a quiet, intimate ceremony in New York.

Michelle explained in an interview that after her late husband, Heath Ledger, passed away in 2008, she never gave up on finding love again.

“I never gave up on love. I always say to Matilda [their daughter], ‘Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes,’” she said.

However, after less than one year of marriage, Michelle and Phil respectfully separated, and are supposedly still good friends.

“Michelle and Phil separated at the beginning of the year. It was an amicable spilt and they remain friends,” sources say.

Lastly, Adele and her husband, Simon Konecki.

The pair had been together for seven years and married for two. Their history was complicated, dramatic at times, and the subject matter of many of Adele's songs.

The two were spotted for the first time together in January 2012, while vacationing together on Florida.

There were rumors that Simon was still married to his ex-wife, but that cleared up quite quickly when a statement was released that he had been divorced for nearly four years at that point.

Adele recalled her's and Simon's relationship to be the most serious one she had ever been in.

“It’s the most serious relationship I’ve ever been in; we’ve got a child together and we live together,” she told [Variety] in 2016. She said that Simon was "perfect".

“Adele and her partner have separated,” the singer’s rep confirmed in a statement to Us Weekly.

“They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”

So, clearly, it was a very messy weekend of breakups and divorces that none of us were expecting.
