With Avengers: Endgame on the horizon, it's probably best we start talking about fan theories.
Ours is that Thanos was the Geico gecko the whole time. Think about it.

The soul stone demands sacrifice. Den Of Geek hypothesizes that this person will be Captain America, who will give his life so someone can use the Infinity Gauntlet to restore half the universe.
There's probably a good chance that Captain America dies, because Chris Evans said in an interview with The New York Times that he was ready to put down the shield.
Screen Rant pitched the idea that maybe the cat (who might not actually be a cat, hint, trying to avoid spoilers here, hint) from _Captain Marvel _ might save the universe from Thanos' wrath.
Two reasons as to why this probably won't happen: for one, it's too easy.
Also, they want to have some drama in this movie, and a cat saving the world would just be too funny.
While people may think she's dead, Den Of Geek suggests she's just living in a different reality and will be an integral part in defeating the Mad Titan.
Think about it. Think about Gamora's relationship to Thanos. Think about the fact that she was the first person in the Soul Stone.
We think that there's a good chance she has a big part in taking him down or in the very least, a big part in returning half the universe to life.
This theory involves Thanos going to meet death and leaving his mortal husk on earth.
During this time, one of his "adopted" daughters, Nebula, sneaks over and takes the gauntlet off his hand.
Even the people who pitched this, the guys at Den Of Geek think this one is unlikely.
While it may have been how it went down in the comics, Nebula doesn't have enough clout in the movies to be the big savior.
Sure, you might have seen Thanos kill Loki with your bare eyes, but remember looks can be deceiving, especially when the god of mischief is involved.
For one, a Reddit user named radkarth pointed out to the world that Loki is right-handed, and in the scene, Loki used his left hand to stab at Thanos.
Loki has used this trick many times before, so much so that his brother Thor was able to predict that he was going to do it in Thor: Ragnarok.
According to Screen Rant, when Loki's actor, Tom Hiddleston, was asked about his future in the franchise at ACE Comic-Con, he got all skittish and said, unconvincingly: "Your guess is as good as mine!".
Essentially, the Avengers will be rebooted and have a whole new cast of people. Perhaps with a girl Thor or a black, female Iron Man... or Iron Woman,
With Chris Evans wanting out and Robert Downey Jr. making way too much money, there's a good chance a couple of them die and we get to see new origin stories for different versions of the beloved characters.
But seriously, who could outdo RDJ?
