Man Recovering From Surgery Wakes Up To Cuddling Cat He Doesn't Know

If you've ever had a pet, then you know how they seem to understand when you're in need of a little extra comfort.

My dogs always seem to be more cuddly when I'm feeling down or sick. They're less rambunctious and instead of trying to wrestle, they'll curl up and keep me warm.

They even seem to know when another animal is in need of comfort.

Can we get a "D'aww" for this pic, please? Because it's the best thing I've seen all day.

Sometimes, I feel bad for those who are going through a rough time and don't have an animal to cuddle.

A stuffed animal just isn't the same as a warm, breathing ball of furry love.

Apparently, though, all you need to do it leave a window or door open a few inches.

At least, that's my takeaway from this tweet from Andrew Falloon.

In it, he shares a photo of his father and a cat, sleeping while holding hands/paws.

But Andrew's parents don't own a cat.

Apparently, the door was left ajar and the cat wandered inside. It could have chosen to take advantage of the situation in many ways, but instead, it just wanted a cuddle.

Since he shared the photo, it's been viewed over 16 million times.

He told Mashable:

"I’m just happy Dad’s on the mend, and if the photo made a few people smile that’s nice too."

The cat has since moved on and Andrew isn't sure how to explain the social media love to his dad. He'll have to explain what Twitter is first.
