Jason Momoa Opens Up About Friend Emilia Clarke's Aneurysms: 'We Almost Lost Her'

With the eighth and final season of Game Of Thrones premiering on April 14th, fans have been getting into their feels, especially as the cast and crew gathered for a farewell party last night at the Radio City Music Hall to bid farewell to this groundbreaking show.

Friends, family and significant others joined the cast in celebration, making it the biggest and most iconic party of the YEAR.

Please enjoy my fav pic of the night, courtesy of Sophie Turner, her hubby-to-be Joe Jonas and Jack Gleeson.

Joe captioned the pic "WTF I thought this dude was dead... #KINGJOFFREY."

I screamed!

Keep that dude away from your girl, Joe!

It wasn't all fun and games, though. Ish got emotional, too!

In an interview with ET, GOT alumnus Jason Momoa recalled finding out his co-star and good friend Emilia Clarke had suffered two life threatening aneurysms.

"I've kind of been a part of that whole situation for a very long time," Momoa said.

"So we've had so many scares and trying to find the right way to come out and help."

Emilia had managed to keep her health issues out of the press and away from the public for years.

But she recently opened up in an essay for the New Yorker that she'd been rushed into urgent surgery in 2011 after being diagnosed with a subarachnoid haemorrhage.

He continued, "I just think it's beautiful that... she's so brave in helping the world and trying to raise awareness."

Clarke underwent another surgery in 2013.

That was just after she finished filming season three.

But she experienced complications after the surgery, and a massive bleed, leading to yet another operation.

"I'm very sad, because we almost lost her the first time."

"I love her to bits and she's here and she's going to do great things with it and teach the world," he gushed about his TV wife and real life bestie.

Since coming forward with her health scares, Clarke announced she had started a charity "Same You" to help those who have undergone brain injury gain access to rehabilitation.

Many people don't have access to the proper resources and that can limit how well they recover.

She's pushing for more funding to be put towards neurorehabilitation and more access to comprehensive care for patients.

You can find out more about Emilia's charity by visiting here.

One of their recent campaigns involved a contest to win a chance to join Emilia at the big premiere.

How awesome is that?

Winner Aranza P. took her dad as her +1, which is the cutest.

Even though he was only on one season of "Game Of Thrones," don't we just love that his friendship with Emilia has lasted for many more?

And, it seems Jason is just as excited as we are for the upcoming season!

Momoa was also asked how he and his wife (the INCOMPARABLE Lisa Bonet) plan on watching the final season.

They let us know it's gonna be dramatic.

"If we're at a place that isn't ours, maybe [we'll watch on] a real television, and there's usually like some knee sliding and 'Noooo!' going on," said Lisa.

Ugh, I love it!

Now that the premiere party has happened, it's even harder to wait for the show to be back again! Ugh! I can't wait!
