Parents Are Sharing Their Lazy Hacks That Keep Them Sane And They're Genius

As a mom, I know what it's like to try and hold onto your sanity when it's dangling by a single thread. That's why it's common for parents to come up with their own hacks that will get them through the day.

Now parents are sharing these hacks online and they are genius. They're also hilarious and creative. I'm going to start using some of these ideas ASAP.

This little white lie.

If you need your kid to stay in bed until the morning, surely this white lie won't hurt, right? My parents did the same thing to me but with a nightlight. It worked.

DIY a "car"-dboard box.

Heh, heh. See what I did there?

But seriously, an empty box with some wheels drawn on it will entertain your kid for hours.

I go to this zoo a lot.

I recently discovered this hack for my son and it works! Especially in the winter when you need to get out of the house, just go to the pet store.

Honestly, kids will love it.

Best of all, it's free! My son loves the fish section the most.

That's one way to get them to read.

Everyone is trying to reduce their kid's screentime, but with this hack, they'll be forced to read. It's actually kind of genius.

It's like a ball pit but lazier.

Put some blocks in the crib and let your kids play in a "block pit" for a bit. This is also perfect for when you need to make sure your kids won't get into trouble while you take a few minutes to yourself.

The "allergy" excuse.

Now that I think about it, my parents were allergic to a lot of things... like paint... and Nerf guns. And, I just realized this hack totally works.

This genius hair hack.

French braids can work for two days! Just change up the accessories, but your daughter can sleep in this style easily.

How to get your kids dressed.

My son is currently in a stage where it takes two of us to hold him down and get him dressed. Maybe this will work when he's a little older...

Here's an activity that will allow you to drink your coffee.

Fill your sink with colored water and let your child play with it using utensils or plastic toys. They will LOVE this.
