You Can Rent A Massive Game-Themed Home With A Lazy River

I've had the opportunity to go on some very nice vacations in my time, but it's hard to compare to the time I visited Disney World as a kid.

Although vacations I've taken as an adult had more to do with delicious food and beautiful scenery, Disney World seemed like it was specially-designed to make me happy. Not just children, me personally.

Of course, visiting Disney World as an adult to recapture that feeling is like trying to step in the same river twice. But what if we could ignite that sense of child-like wonder with a whole new experience?

If that's possible, it can probably be done at one sprawling Florida resort.

As fun-filled vacations go, it's hard to beat the Great Escape Lakeside estate near Orlando, Florida.

According to Today, this 10-acre property boasts a 13-bedroom mansion with enough room for up to 45 people to sleep in it.

But with everything else there is to do here, sleep may not be a priority.

And part of the fun is in the bedrooms themselves, which are mostly game-themed.

Many of them are based on board games, including this Scrabble room.

While this and the Monopoly room seem pretty centered around the games themselves, others, like the Clue one, make the whole room into an interactive experience.

For instance, the Clue bedroom is actually an escape room where you can lock yourself inside and search for clues to get out.

If board games aren't your thing, other rooms are video game-themed.

For instance, this Pac Man room not only has a cool, soothing atmosphere, but also includes the original game, as well as other retro-gaming classics.

As Today reported, these games don't require quarters either.

For anyone who's bringing kids and worrying that retro games won't appeal to them, The Great Escape has you covered.

Not only are there more modern video games on-site, but they also might be interested to know that one of the rooms can turn into a laser maze.

Which, yes, means that players will have to crawl under and jump over these lasers like they're in Mission: Impossible. Apparently, the record for clearing this maze is 5.9 seconds.

The fun doesn't just stop at the mansion doors, either.

Not only is there a big pool, but it features a water slide and an adjustable lazy river. Whether you want to float by slowly or quickly, you should be able to find an appropriate setting.

The estate is also close to a lake and allows guests to rent canoes and kayaks.

The property also features giant versions of other games, like this chess set in the living room.

Outside, guests can also participate in human bowling and human foosball, where they can respectively get in the bowling ball and hold onto bars while they kick the ball around.

There's also a private movie theater on-site, which has Jumanji-themed décor.

Pets are also allowed, but some conditions apply here.

According to the resort's website, these pets are subject to pre-approval and need to be both hypoallergenic and potty-trained as a rule.

Bringing them along also costs $29 per day.

Speaking of costs, the Great Escape Lakeside experience doesn't necessarily come cheap.

Depending on the days they show up and the time of year, guests can expect to pay anywhere from $1,295 per night to $2,045 per night.

The price break down is also available on the website, and splitting the cost between multiple families is recommended.
